Cliff Robertson, the ruggedly handsome actor who won an Oscar for “Charly” and was personally chosen by John F. Kennedy to portray the president in the motion picture P.T. 109 —, died Saturday Stony Brook Medical Center, near his home on Long Island, surrounded by friends and family. He will be greatly missed.

(Previously Published in June '09) As I stumbled out of bed this morning, I immediately shifted into a gear of depression. The trigger, of course, was the news: Wall Street blues. Washington blues. The usual dose of reality dampened my dark spirits even more.

March, 2011 - New Article posted in the Cliff Hangar

(Previously Published in March '09) It may seem quirky, unusual and almost irreverent that this actor/director/writer and pilot is being asked to write a few words about one of the men not celebrated at the January 22, 2009 “Living Legends” dinner;. I was unfortunately unable to attend. I could not be happier for the gentlemen honored and feel shamefaced that I could not personally see and congratulate them. I am sure they were lauded roundly by all who attended, which makes me even more shamefaced. However, as an act of contrition, it seems only proper that I put in a word or two. Ergo….
